Dear Families,

                            We are excited to welcome students back next Tuesday. Below are a few additional updates to keep you informed.

Classroom environments: Our initial learning time will focus on student well-being, building relationships and creating a safe and welcoming class community. Our Librarian, Music and French teachers will be coming to the students in their classroom. All staff will be following public health protocol including masks, proper handwashing and distancing when possible.

Supply lists: As stated on the school website, Costco Canada is providing our students with school supplies and a new book bag.

Getting outside: Teachers will be looking to get outside as much as possible with their students. Please ensure your child is dressed for the weather.

Monitoring your child’s health: Our shared health is our shared responsibility. We need families to monitor the health of their children each day before they come to school, using the COVID-19 daily checklist https://novascotia.ca/coronavirus/docs/Daily-COVID-checklist-en.pdf  This checklist is also available on the banner of our school website: https://swo.hrce.ca/

Please keep your child at home when they are feeling unwell, even if their symptoms are mild, and contact 811. By monitoring your child’s daily health, you are doing your part to protect our shared health.
